OUGD504 - Studio Brief 2 - Web Design - Workshop 3

To begin the session, we created the rest of our buttons in illustrator using the same 200x100px border to fit with the previous one. These were all saved in pngs like before.

To insert the button on the website, the same process as before was used.

These all came out successfully and worked when the web preview was refreshed.

To make each button a working link, you need to change the href of each button to the designated page.

To make the pages that the link would direct to, I changed he text in the container to "This is the work page." and then saved that as a separate page called "work.html", this was repeated for each page until they were all done which made the link work.

After we were shown how to do the links we were told about how the box model works.

After this, we put it into play and made code which reflected what we just found out by specifying the width and height but then the padding too so there was some space between the content and the nav bar.

To format text, to create a paragraph break you use the <p> tag.

For line breaks you use the <br> tag.

To style an area of text use <h> tags in css to identify the command/style you are requiring.

To put an image into the container, you go to insert and then image and choose your image. Making sure it is the right size to fit in the space.
